Tradd Hodge Shares Message of Service and Unity at 2026 MLK Unity Breakfast
Tradd Hodge, Founder of The Giver Foundation, was honored to serve as a guest speaker at the 2026 MLK Unity Breakfast in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a signature event celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service, unity, and community leadership. During his remarks, Hodge reflected on receiving the 2025 MLK Jr. Humanitarian Award, which brought meaningful visibility to The Giver Foundation and its work across Spartanburg and the Upstate.
Hodge expressed deep appreciation to the City of Spartanburg for the opportunity to highlight the Foundation’s expanding mission. He emphasized how The Giver Foundation supports children and families through partnerships with cancer centers, advocacy centers, hospitals, youth clubs, and other organizations providing critical care and resources across Upstate South Carolina and beyond. Anchoring his message in Dr. King’s teachings, Hodge spoke about the importance of collective responsibility, honoring the leaders who came before, and investing in youth as the future of the community.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of The Giver Foundation, a milestone celebrating a decade of positive impact in children's lives, volunteer leadership, and a growing Giver Community. Hodge credited the organization’s progress to the dedicated individuals, partners, and supporters who have championed its mission and expanded its reach.
The morning included a special moment with members of The Giver Foundation Advisory Board, Anna Voyles Hodge and Bill Barnet, who joined Hodge in honoring the spirit of unity and collaboration at the heart of both the Foundation’s work and the MLK Unity Breakfast.
